According to Mehr News Agency, Colonel Alireza Haddadi stated that preventing and combating theft requires serious and collective determination of all organizations and institutions, and people's responsibility in taking care of property and eliminating the grounds for crime, and stated: "With careful planning, a sense of responsibility, and also analyzing crimes, the security factor can be increased and the space can be made unsafe for criminals, especially thieves."

He stated that by carrying out technical police measures, in separate operations by implementing two stages of the operational plan to arrest fugitive defendants and convicts, in December of this year, 114 people were arrested in Gilan province.

The head of the Gilan Provincial Intelligence Police continued: "The defendants were presented to the judicial authority for legal proceedings by filing a case."

The police official concluded by stating that failure to observe safety precautions is the most important factor in thieves' abuse and acknowledged: "One of the main and most important priorities of the police is to deal with crimes, especially theft, and prevent them from occurring, which is pursued diligently with the round-the-clock efforts of law enforcement personnel."
